Halloween

I know I am a few days late but it's been busy around here.

Trick or Treat Session I

Mark brings Lily to Grampy's and the neighbors in the afternoon on Halloween before he goes to work so he can trick or treat with her too! Grampy bought Lily fruit snacks instead of chocolate. Those seven teeth or hers need to stay cavity free.

What's that in your mouth Grampy?

I've got it now......

Trick Or Treat Session II

I brought all four of the girls (Anna came with us) to the Kane's to see their costumes. We missed Devon because it took us sooo long to get over there.

Then we went to the neighborhood down the street with Kristal's friend Ali, her mom , sister and some neighbors. It was a fun night.
Lily loved running through the leaves in the yards and best of all she loved the flashlight that Shannon (Ali's mom) let her use.

Beach in October

It was so beautiful this weekend we were able to go out on Mark's boat for the first time (but probably the last time this year). Our family and Tim and Anna set sail up the river to the ocean.....Although, the launching of the boat in the water was a little rough we finally got it in and were able to go for the first ride as a family.

Mark and Tim dropped all the girls and I off at the spit and we spent the day on the beach while Tim and Mark went fishing. They caught two bluefish (that we ate they were really good)

I got a picture with (almost) all of the girls with their names in the sand.

We didn't get a picture of Shannon because she was too busy building a sand castle REALLY far away from us and we were distracted by this stingray (he wasn't alive). Anna actually found two of them, the second one wasn't really suitable for pictures. :0)

Lily found Shannon's sandcastle and she decided that she was the princess of the castle.......

Lily loved finding snails. There were tons of them on all the rocks because the tide went out while we were there. The snails were everywhere so she collected them and ATE THEM (more like sucked all the salt off of them). There was one point she had 4 of them in her mouth at once.

After a long gorgeous day at the beach, everyone had a snack just in time for Mark and Tim to finish fishing and pick us up. We went for a quick ride out into the ocean and then we headed for home. (Lily passed out sitting up so she didn't get to see much of the ride home on the boat).

I would think that would be our last opportunity to go to the beach for 2007 we were very lucky to be able to sneak one last day in. (It isn't usually beach weather in October around here).........

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was low key out our house (for the most part). The Meader family came over for a two night sleep over. We had a fire the first night and the Doyle's graced us welcomely with their presence.

Lily's hair almost long enough for full pigtails.

Shelvis' hair is now brown. Time to retire the blonde doo.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school, 7th & 8th Grade.

The girls, the girls and Anna, Kristal and Anna......

Some day, before we know it, Lily will be lined up with them with her backpack... (but for now she'll just look pretty for the camera and wave bye to them in the mornings)

Lily Started Walking Today

Lily finally started walking today. She walked from the stove into the livingroom and then over to the couch.
"I started walking just in time for Daddy to have me all by himself".
The girls start school tomorrow........

Our First Blog

I thought that since we don't see all of our family and friends all that often that I would start a blog so everyone can see how everyone is changing and what we are up to. We have friends and family that we think of often that are close and far away (some that visit other countries frequently) that we do not get to see nearly as much as we should. So here we are.

I wanted to post a few pictures of our summer since it's coming quickly to a end and school will be starting soon. (Mark isn't too sad though because the end of summer means hunting season is just around the corner)

I hope you enjoy it.

We love and miss you all!

Keep in touch

Shelly, Mark, Shannon, Kristal and Lily

Lily and Mark at Lily Bay State Park. Lily Bay, ME for those of you who didn't know is where Lily got her name. Mark and I got engaged and had our honeymoon there. Courtesy of our favorite family "The Kanes".

The three girls at Ocean Park ME where the girls and I went to spend a few days with the Meaders. Poor Mark had to work but I know that he enjoyed the time to himself.

Shannon was trying to fly a kite she did a great job.

Kristal and Shannon soaking up the rays.

Lily loved the beach she was afraid of the ocean at first but when she realized she could splash around in the tide pools we couldn't get her away.
